Frequently Asked Questions
What is discoveredflights.com
discoveredflights.com is a travel search engine, not a travel agency. We search dozens of travel suppliers simultaneously so that you can research your options quickly and conveniently. Our meta-search technology searches the Web sites that you would normally check by hand, plus many more you might not think of (in the United States and around the world). Our aim is to return the most comprehensive travel search results in less than a minute.
How many travel sites do you cover?
We search across the largest supplier base of any travel search engine on the Web. Our coverage includes travel agents, consolidators, airlines, and international suppliers. We’re always eager to add to our supplier network, so if your favorite site does not appear in the following list, please let us know.
So, some of your site are international. Will I be able to book a ticket on those?
All the sites that we search have been pre-screened, but because some are in a foreign language, you may not be able to complete a transaction in English. To facilitate your search, we have added filters that allow you to search U.S. based providers.
All user information is kept completely confidential. We do not share, distribute, or sell any information about our users. You value your privacy, and so do we.
How do you convert foreign currencies?
Because we search sites outside the United States, we convert foreign currencies into U.S. dollars for comparison purposes. To do this, we use the most accurate foreign exchange data available at the time of your search. However, the final price of the ticket ultimately depends on the individual policies of your credit card and the site where you purchase your ticket. Please consult the site and your credit card company if you have questions about your final price.
How do I change or cancel a ticket?
Because we are exclusively a search engine, transactions do not take place on our Web site. All transactions are processed by the supplier site that discoveredflights finds for you. To cancel or change your ticket, you must consult the site where you made the purchase. The confirmation message that the provider sent you upon booking probably has what you need to know.
Are taxes and booking fees included in the price that you show?
Our goal is to display the same price that our suppliers show you when doing the search directly on their site, including taxes and service fees. If you find any prices that do not match those on a site, please let us know.
How much does discoveredflights.com cost?
discoveredflights is absolutely free.
